Witnesses told News24 that security checkpoints were set up across the city, mostly in downtown areas, where security forces could be seen checking vehicles.

The areas where internet was suspended in Srinagar district are Anchar, Idgah, Kamarwari, Soura, MR Gang, Nowhatta, Safakadal, Bagyas.

Official sources told News24 that mobile internet was also suspended in Kaimoh and Wahpoh areas of south Kashmir Kulgam, where terrorists killed two non-local laborers yesterday. In the Litter area of ​​​​Pulwama, there was a sudden shutdown of mobile internet, the same area where a laborer from UP was shot dead by terrorists two days ago.

Nine civilians, including five non-locals, have been killed by terrorists in the Kashmir Valley in the last 15 days, creating fear among non-local labourers.

Hundreds of non-locals today left the Kashmir Valley in distress following yesterday’s latest attack on a group of laborers from Bihar in Kulgam South Kashmir.
