Mohammad Shami can make it to Team India


New Delhi: Recently, BCCI announced the 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which didn’t include the name of star pacesetter Mohammad Shami. His absence sparked debate among fans and pundits alike over the choice of the Indian team.

However, in recent developments on the matter, it has emerged that Shami is still in the running for inclusion on the World Cup team.

Plan to include Mohammad Shami – BCCI official

A BCCI official said that if a player has not played a T20 International game for 10 months, they cannot be directly included in the T20 World Cup roster. There are plans to make Shami part of the 15-man squad and that’s why he was called up to the team for the T20 series against Australia and South Africa. If he does well in both series, he will be featured at World Cup Bowling.

Shami can cause problems for batters in Australian conditions

There is no express bowler in the World Cup team. In Australia’s state, the fast bowler receives additional impact from the pitch. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Axar Patel believe in swinging the ball. Aside from Jasprit Bumrah, there is no other bowler who can bowl at a speed greater than 140. Shami can disrupt batsmen with his speed and bounce.

The BCCI official said all teams must send their respective teams’ roster by October 10. Teams have the right to make changes to their chosen team. In such a situation, Shami’s place is made.
