Moni Roy opens up about a better role than Alia Bhatt in Brahmastra

New Delhi: Actress Moni Roy said she was pleased with the great reviews of her performance in Brahmastra, but would never say that she beat the film’s two protagonists, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is an epic fantasy film inspired by Indian mythology. Mooney portrays the main antagonist, Mad, in the film.

Siddharth told Kanan in an interview that she landed the role in 2018, after a meeting with Ayan that was scheduled to last 10 minutes but ended up being three hours long. At that time, her character was called Obsession and she was scheduled to play a secondary role in the film.

When asked how she feels about the film’s “main lead” title, and carrying it on her shoulders, Mooney said, “I feel like people really like me, I feel like my hard work for so many years is paying off. I think there’s no shortcut to working hard…when you see the fruits of Your work, it’s amazing. But this is everyone’s movie. Every character is so important to making it what they are today, so you can’t deny anyone’s contribution to the movie.”

When asked by the host about her role being more prominent than Alia Bhatt, she said, “Why do you ask me such controversial questions? My role was mine. It was my responsibility to play the antagonist, and that’s what I focused on, and that’s what I did. It’s a great feeling when the audience receives your work.” Positively… Because Junoon had calm confidence and strength, the audience greeted him in a way I didn’t even expect.”

According to Dharma Productions, Brahmastra has grossed over Rs 425 crore internationally. The film, with a budget of Rs 410 crore, was planned to be the first installment of a trilogy and to launch a related world of films and possibly a streaming series. In recent weeks, both Ranbir and producer Karan Johar have stated that the budget being distributed online is for the entire trilogy, not just a single photo.
