Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India]October 17 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a dig at the Congress party over the recent crisis, saying the party has become a circus.
Speaking at a rally in Burhanpur, the CM said, “Rahul Gandhi is not a Congress party. It is being run by an interim president Sonia Gandhi. But Rahul Gandhi has every right to remove the chief minister of a state.”
Referring to the Congress party’s crisis in Punjab and the sudden resignation of Captain Amarinder Singh, he said, “Singh was the CM of Punjab and was running the government very easily. But he was removed and Charanjit Singh Channi was made the chief minister.”
He also accused Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu of resigning from the post of state president of the party and keeping the party in one place.
Talking about the rift in Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, he said, “Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are not happy with each other while Bhupesh Baghel and TS Dev Singh are involved in a tug of war over the CM’s post.”
He also attacked former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Chouhan said, “In Madhya Pradesh if Congress party wants to appoint then it chooses Kamal Nath, for Leader of Opposition, it again depends on Kamal Nath. For star campaigners, it depends on Kamal Nath. The youth wing, the party appoints Nakul Nath, who is Kamal Nath’s son, for the president.” (ANI)
