Dubai: In the second qualifier of the day, Nambia chased down an easy target of 97 runs in 19.3 overs for their rivals Sri Lanka.
Nambia didn’t get off to a good start after losing the first wicket of Stephen Bard for runs after 2.1 overs. Nambia’s second wicket fell after 5.4 overs, but Jane Green could not make more than 8 runs off 3 balls.
Mahesh Thikshana took three wickets with the Nambia openers dismissing Jay Frylink. Craig Williams and Gerhard Erasmus were the players who could last for more than 15 balls for the team, scoring 29 and 0 runs respectively.
Chamika Karunaratne and Dushmantha Chamira took 1-1 wickets. Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets from Craig Williams (13.3 ov) and John Nicol (17.3 ov). same pattern followed Lahiru Kumara, who took two wickets for Pikki or the French team and Gerhard Erasmus
Chasing the target of 97 runs, Sri Lanka is now on the field.
