Zurich: India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra brought the diamond home this time as he lifted the title trophy at the Diamond League, Zurich.
Chopra had suffered an injury last month that forced him to pull out of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but his comeback has once again made the nation proud.
With a best throw of 88.4m, the 24-year-old got his hands on the historic Diamond League trophy. With this achievement, Neeraj has become the first Indian to take home the prestigious trophy.

– Record achieved by throwing javelin of 68.46 meters at the U16 National Youth Championship in Lucknow in 2012.
-The javelin throw record of 86.48m at the 2016 World Junior Championships.
At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, he won gold with a javelin throw of 86.47 metres.
