New DelhiThe country’s leading two wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto is preparing some new motorcycles to woo the youth this festive season. According to the latest news, the new Pulsar is being tested.
From all the spy images that have surfaced so far, it can be seen that the bike will sport a semi-faired design with mid-size front fairing, projector headlamps, telescopic front forks, alloy wheels and monoshock rear suspension.
It is being told that the upcoming Pulsar 250 can come on a completely new platform. There is also speculation that Bajaj will not use the same steel frame for this new bike as its current model, but the company will build this bike on a platform that is stronger and lighter than before.
It has been speculated that this bike could get a 250 cc capacity oil-cooled single-cylinder engine which can be mated to a 6-speed constant mesh transmission box. This engine is capable of producing 28 PS of power and 20 Nm of torque. Although officially no information has been made public about this.
As far as the price is concerned, the company is expected to price the new Pulsar 250 around ₹ 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). With this aggressive price tag in terms of segment, this bike can give competition to Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM 200 Duke and Yamaha FZ25.
