New Toyota Fortuner Launching Soon Know Price and Features


New Delhi: The new generation Toyota Fortuner will make an entry next year. The new model of the SUV could be launched in Thailand first, followed by other Southeast Asian countries. It may arrive in India in late 2023 or early 2024. The Toyota Fortuner 2023 will see a lot of cosmetic changes.

It will also receive new body panels. It will have more features and may come with a hybrid powertrain. It can be based on the TNGA-F platform instead of the existing IMV architecture.

The same platform can also be found in the new Toyota Innova Highcross arriving in early 2023. The global Toyota Tundra, Sequoia and Land Cruiser SUVs are also built on the TNGA-G platform, which supports wheelbase lengths of 2850mm to 4180 mm.


The new Fortuner can get a 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine with mild hybrid technology and integrated starter generator (ISG). The diesel hybrid powertrain could be called “GD Hybrid”. The new hybrid powertrain will make the SUV more efficient than before.


In terms of features, the new Toyota Fortuner 2023 will be more updated than the current generation model. The SUV could be offered with ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) that includes blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, automatic parking assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and exit lane

The existing hydraulic steering wheel can be replaced with an electric unit. The new Fortuner may come with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system.


The current generation Toyota Fortuner is priced between Rs 32.59 lakh to Rs 50.34 lakh (ex-showroom). It is presented in 9 variants. With its design, features and mechanical upgrades, the price of the SUV will also increase.
