NIA arrests absconding supremo of naxal outfit PLFI in Delhi

New Delhi: In a major achievement, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrested the Naxal self-proclaimed chieftain of the People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI). PLFI is a banned Naxal outfit in Jharkhand.

According to the NIA, Dinesh Gope alias Kuldeep Yadav alias Badku was arrested in Delhi. 102 criminal cases were registered against him and he was awarded a reward of Rs 30 lakh.”

The accused is a resident of Khunti district in Jharkhand and was earlier booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation in a case related to the recovery of Rs 25.38 lakh demonetised currency from PLFI operatives.

He’s been on the run ever since. According to the NIA, more than 102 criminal cases have been registered against him in states like Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha. All these cases are related to murders, kidnappings, threats, extortion and raising money for the Naxals outfit.
