new Delhi: A special flight carrying 218 Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine reached Delhi from Romania’s capital Bucharest on Tuesday under Operation Ganga.

Vaishnav said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making all efforts in Operation Ganga to bring the students back home safely. The students are happy and believe that the efforts of the Government of India were great.”

“I ask these students my friends in Ukraine to have strength and be patient. They will be evacuated very soon. Flights are continuously coming. Four ministers have also been deployed in that area for effective coordination.” central minister.

Meanwhile, a flight carrying 182 Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine reached Mumbai from Bucharest in Romania on Tuesday as part of ‘Operation Ganga’. Union Minister Narayan Rane received the evacuated Indian nationals at the Mumbai airport. The central government is intensifying its efforts to expel Indians from Ukraine. The government has deployed ‘special envoys’ to four neighboring countries bordering Ukraine to coordinate and monitor the evacuation process of Indian nationals.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will oversee the evacuation efforts in Hungary, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju in Slovakia, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in Romania while General VK Singh in Poland.

The Indian government has launched Operation Ganga for the return of Indians from Ukraine amid military operations by Russia.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting to review efforts to bring back Indians stranded in Ukraine. The prime minister on Monday chaired two meetings to review the ongoing efforts under Operation Ganga for the return of Indians from Ukraine amid military operations by Russia.
