‘Our forces are synonymous with trust’, says PM Modi as he celebrated Diwali with Armed forces in Nowshera


“I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend Diwali with my brave soldiers at Nowshera, not as the Prime Minister but as a member of his family,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

New Delhi: Continuing his annual tradition of celebrating Diwali with Armed Forces personnel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared the joy of the auspicious festival with jawans and officers in Jammu’s Nowshera sector.

Sharing some pictures from the celebrations, the Prime Minister tweeted, “I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to spend Diwali with our brave soldiers at Nowshera, not as the Prime Minister but as a member of his family. ”

“Our Armed Forces represent the diversity of India and the collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Our Army is not only known for its utmost professionalism, but they are also at the fore in helping people in times of crisis. Our Army believes in is synonymous with,” PM Modi added.

Earlier, after reaching Nowshera, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

This is Prime Minister Modi’s second Diwali celebrations with Army personnel posted in Nowshera district. Earlier in 2019, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with soldiers at the Army Division Headquarters in Rajouri.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali 2021. He said in a tweet, he wishes that the festival of lights brings happiness, prosperity and good fortune in everyone’s life.
