Our team is young, but they have quality: Hyderabad FC’s Manolo Marquez

Bambolim: Hyderabad FC head coach Manolo Marquez feels the game will be tough against NorthEast United FC as they have disciplined players.

On Monday, Hyderabad FC will start as the favorites against NorthEast United FC when the two sides meet in the 2021-22 Indian Super League (ISL) at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim. “I think this season, our team is defending more or less very well.

Results are always important, but they only had one clear chance in the first game against Chennaiyin. Even in the next few matches, we didn’t miss too many chances and that’s more important.”

“They (NorthEast United FC) played really well against Odisha and didn’t deserve to lose. I think it will be a difficult game for us and for them as well. They are a tough team, an aggressive side, good foreigners. There are players and the Indian players are very disciplined. Definitely, it will be a tough game for both the sides.”

Talking about avoiding complacency, the head coach said that the players in his team are young but they have quality.

The head coach said, “We have got one loss in 16 matches in the ISL. Our team is young but they have quality. For me, players with more experience will help the youngsters and the mix we have helps us a lot.”

“We are really happy with our foreigners. But for me, only four foreign players are allowed in the XI, the difference between the teams is the quality of the Indian players, because you have to play with at least seven of them in the team. There have been some mistakes, as we have seen so far this season, but like everything in life, you learn from your mistakes and I think many of these youngsters will only get better the more they play. ”
