Pakistan: 4 soldiers killed, 10 injured in Balochistan IED blast

Quetta (Pakistan): Four Pakistani soldiers were killed and 10 seriously injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in Balochistan’s Sibi district, local media reported.

The attack comes days after Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claimed that at least seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in a suicide attack in the same district. The suicide bomber has been identified as “Abdul Rahman Al Bakistani”, according to media outlets.

Notably, since the beginning of this year, several terror incidents rocked Pakistan as major cities including Islamabad and Lahore were targeted.

The Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies, an Islamabad-based think tank, recently published a report which supported the apprehension that Pakistan has been slowly heading towards anarchy and instability over the past few years.

Earlier on March 12, a policeman was injured in an IED blast in the tank town of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
