Pakistan: At least six killed in Balochistan fighting


Quetta (Pakistan): At least six people have been killed in a counter-terrorism department (CTD) operation carried out in the Eastern Bypass area of ​​the provincial capital Quetta in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Arms and explosives have also been recovered from the terrorist hideout, the CTD said in a statement on Sunday.

The statement said that one of the terrorists had a Pakistani Rs 20 lakh bounty on his head.

Earlier on Saturday, two people were killed in an encounter with the police in Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

CTP officials said that it launched an operation on an intelligence input in the early hours of Saturday. During the operation, the terrorists opened fire on the CTD personnel, leading to a shootout.
