Pakistani terrorist among two LeT militants killed in Bemina Srinagar


Srinagar: Pakistani Lashker terrorist Abdullah Gojri and a local militant Adil Hussain Mir were killed in a brief shootout in Bemina area of Srinagar district during late night hours.

Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told News24 “As per the documents and other incriminating materials, one of the killed militant has been identified as Abdullah Goujri, resident of Faisalabad, Pakistan”.

IGP said “This was the same group of militants, who had escaped from Sopore encounter last week and since then forces were continuously tracking their movement”.

Vijay Kumar said “As per the documents recovered from another killed militant, he has been identified as Adil Hussain Mir @ Sufian @ Musab of Anantnag district in South Kashmir. As per police records, he had crossed over to Pakistan in 2018 on visit VISA from Wagah border”.

It’s pertinent to mention that in Sopore gunfight one militant was killed while as two militants had managed to escape from the encounter spot last week.

In the wake of recent target killings from minority community, forces have intensified anti terrorist operations all across the Kashmir Valley. This year so far 102 terrorists were killed during several encounters in Valley including 30 Pakistani terrorists. As per police officials during the same period last year total 49 militants including a single pakistani terrorist was killed during during anti terrorist operations in Kashmir.
