Kanye recently released the music video for his recently released song “Easy,” in which he can be seen kidnapping and burying a caricature of the “Saturday Night Live” star. But as sources close to Pete told Entertainment Tonight, the comedian found the act hilarious.
A source told the outlet, “He finds out the fact that Kanye included a cartoon version of him in his music video hysterical. He’s almost as happy with it all because it’s so ridiculous to him.”
The source added that Pete “has no threat to Kanye in any way, shape or form.”
“He’s using it to grow in more ways than one, including himself and his relationship with Kim. He’s turning all the negativity into something positive,” the source continued.
Kanye West’s recently released “Easy” video already grabbed public attention in January, as the 44-year-old rapper has expressed his intentions to beat “Pete Davidson’s a*s.”
Pete reportedly had the same reaction to the song as with the video, with a source telling Page Six at the time, “Pete thinks it’s downright hilarious. Not only that – he’s totally hilarious.” thinks in a way [tabloid drama with him, West and Kardashian] is hilarious. he loves her.”
Not only is Pete staying positive amid Kanye’s attacks, but the drama has reportedly brought the comedian and rapper’s ex, Kim Kardashian even closer.
“Pete is very understanding and has made a great effort to put any feelings aside and be a support system for Kim during this difficult time and transition,” said the Entertainment Tonight source. So much has grown, man, public figure and participant through this process, even if he is unexpectedly thrown into the middle of things, including Kanye’s rant and subsequent hype.”
For the unaware, Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021 and declared her legally single on Tuesday, just before Kanye released the video.
This wasn’t the first time that Kanye, who shares four children with the Kardashians, has spread images about Pete Davidson, who has been engaged to the owner of SKIMS since October.
Earlier, in one instance, she shared screenshots of texts she received from both Kardashian and Pete, along with memes that she captioned with disturbing messages.
However, the rapper later said that he was “taking accountability” for the posts and said that he was “working” on his communication skills, according to People magazine.
