New Delhi: Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn and Rakulpreet starrer Thank God is in trouble again. The Shree Chitragupta Welfare Trust filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the release of the film.

The petition requested a ban on the release of the film Hála Istennek in cinemas and on the OTT platform. Actor Ajay Devgan, CBFC, director Indra Kumar, producer Bhushan Kumar participated in the petition of Shree Chitragupta Welfare Trust.

Earlier, Indra Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Siddhartha Malhotra were named as accused in a case filed by lawyer Himanshu Srivastava in a Jaunpur court. The petitioner claims that the recently released trailer of the film mocks religion and has hurt religious sentiments.

In his petition, Srivastava said that Ajay Devgn is playing Chitragupta in a suit. cracking jokes and using objectionable language in one scene. “Chitragupta is considered the lord of karma and keeps a record of one’s good and bad deeds. Depicting gods like this can create an unpleasant situation as it hurts religious sentiments,” the petition said.

Nora Fatehi also makes a special appearance in the remake of the song Manike Mage Hithe. This film is facing a big clash with Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Ram Setu’ which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nusshratt Bharuccha.

Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn and Rakulpreet Singh Thank God is one of the most anticipated films of the year.

The film will be released on October 25, on the occasion of Diwali festival.
