New Delhi: Indian oil marketing companies published the latest prices of petrol and diesel today as usual. However, Indian oil companies kept the prices of petrol and diesel stable on Tuesday. Thus, today is the 115th consecutive day when there was no change in the price of gasoline and diesel in the country. Even today, relief has come to the common people on the inflation front.

The government’s oil companies published the prices of gasoline and diesel on Monday, September 13. The oil companies have not changed the price of gasoline and diesel, so they have been making it easier for ordinary people for the 115th day. In other words, the prices of milk are still stable today. While the price of crude oil on the international market has been steadily decreasing in recent days. Currently, Brett crude oil is hovering around $92 per barrel.

The government reduced the excise tax on May 21. The excise duty on petrol has been reduced by Rs 8 per liter and the excise duty on diesel by Rs 6 per litre. Since then, the price of gasoline and diesel has decreased. After that, diesel became cheaper by Rs 9.50 and Rs 7 per liter in the country. After the Centre’s announcement, the governments of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Odisha and Kerala also reduced VAT.

Currently, petrol is sold at Rs 96.72 per liter and diesel at Rs 89.62 per liter in Delhi. At the same time, petrol fetches Rs 106.31 and diesel Rs 94.27 per liter in Mumbai. While petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per litre. In contrast, in Chennai, petrol is available at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24.
