PM Modi offers prayers, greets countrymen on Guru Nanak Jayanti eve


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday participated in the 553rd birth anniversary celebration of Guru Nanak at the residence of Iqbal Singh Lalpura, chairman of the National Commission for Minorities.

After offering prayers to Guru Nanak Dev, Prime Minister Modi addressed the gathering on the occasion and conveyed his greetings and good wishes to the countrymen and those living abroad.

In his speech, the Prime Minister said, “I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country and to people living abroad, on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji.”

“Our country has been blessed to have received spiritual and moral guidance from great teachers like Guru Nanak Dev ji, who evoked the inherent unity of humanity that is bound together by the universal virtues of truth, goodness and righteousness,” he reportedly said. news agency ANI.

Three years ago, we also celebrated the 550th Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, PM Modi said.
