PM Modi to virtually lay foundation stone of boys' hostel in Surat tomorrow


New Delhi [India], October 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony of Hostel Phase-I (Boys Hostel) built by Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj in Surat, Gujarat on Friday.

In an official statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said on Thursday that the hostel building has residential facilities to accommodate around 1,500 students. It also has an auditorium and a dedicated library for students. The construction of the second phase hostel will start from next year to accommodate around 500 girls.

According to PMO Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj is a registered trust established in 1983 whose main objective is educational and social transformation of weaker sections of the society. It helps the students to prepare for various competitive exams and also provides them a platform for entrepreneurship and skill development.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also be present during the program. (ANI)
