Prime Minister Modi condoles those killed in the Kullu accident

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed his deep grief over the loss of lives in a road accident in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh state.

Prime Minister Modi wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and said that all possible measures will be given to the injured.

“The incident of a tourist vehicle falling into a ditch in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh is very sad. My deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones in this accident. At the same time, all possible help is being given to the injured. I wish them a speedy recovery,” PM Modi tweeted.

The tourist vehicle fell into a deep ravine

Earlier on Sunday, as many as seven people were killed and ten others injured when a tourist vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district.

The accident took place in Ghiyagi area of ​​Banjar valley in Kullu district around 8.30 pm on Sunday on NH305.

Kullu District Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said that according to a preliminary report, there were 17 people including the driver in the vehicle, news agency ANI reported.

All the injured have been taken to hospital and are receiving treatment. Of the ten injured, five are said to be in critical condition.

Seven people have died and 10 others have been injured. Five injured have been shifted to Zonal Hospital in Kullu and five are undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Banjar, Gurdev Singh, Superintendent of Police (SP), Kullu said.
