Radhe Shyam actor Krishnam Raju passes away, Anushka Shetty pays tribute


New Delhi: Veteran actor and politician Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju, also known as Krishnam Raju, passed away on Sunday morning. He was 83 years old. Krishnam Raju, also known as Rebel Star, had a successful career in both politics and the film industry. The actor is battling several health conditions and breathed his last in Hyderabad.

Tollywood pays tribute to Krishnam Raju

Anushka Shetty posted a throwback photo with Krishnam Raju and wrote, “Peace in peace our own Krishnam Raju garu A great soul with a great heart..U will live on in our hearts (sic).”

Nikhil Siddhartha tweeted, “A legend has left us a man with a heart of gold. Rest in peace sir will always remember your presence & inspiring words @UVKrishnamRaju #KrishnamRaju (sic).”

Manoj Manchu posted, “This can’t be true. Such a great person, we will miss you very much sir. Your contribution to the film industry and society will live on forever and ever. Om Shanti #KrishnamRaju garu. We will love you forever (sic).

About Krishnam Raju

Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju was born in 1940 in Mogalathur, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. He spent some time working as a journalist after completing his education. Later, in 1966, he made his main acting debut with the film “Chilaka Gorinka”. He is also known for his negative roles.

He also entered politics during the administration of late and former Prime Minister Vajpayee and held the post of Union Minister.

According to one of his family members, the eternal remains of the actor will reportedly be delivered to his home after Monday afternoon and his last rites will reportedly be performed in the afternoon.
