Rahane, Jadeja star as Super Kings defeat Mumbai…

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered a seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) in match 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.

Ambati Rayudu smashed the boundary and sealed the deal for CSK in 11 balls. It could have come earlier. Especially after Ajinkya Rahane’s attack. What an innings it was! What a victory this is! Clear dominance from CSK in a seemingly not quite ‘El Clasico’ paced contest. Two wins in three games for CSK. Two defeats from two matches for MI.

Ajinkya Rahane registered the fastest half-century of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 16 against Mumbai Indians (MI). He scored 61 runs from 27 balls at a strike rate of 111.11 while smashing the ball around the park.

He hit Arshad Khan for 23 runs in an over. Captain Rohit Sharma sighed, shrugged, closed his eyes and hunched his shoulders after Ajinkya Rahane plundered 23 runs.

Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja returned to take 3/20 from his full quota of four overs as he led CSK’s bowling attack. Mitchell Santner, left-arm spinner, took 2/28. Tushar Deshpande got two dismissals each.
