New Delhi [India], Oct 17 (ANI): Attacking the Center over the hike in fuel prices, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said the only increase in the country is that of inflation.

Citing a news report about the rise in fuel prices, the Congress leader tweeted, “Sabka Vinash. Rise of Inflation (Sabka Vinash. Development of Mehndi) #Tax Recovery,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
His statement came at a time when petrol and diesel prices continued to rise across the country for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday.
Petrol and diesel prices hit an all-time high as fuel rates continued to rise by 35 paise/litre across the country for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday. With the latest hike, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 105.84 per liter, while the price of diesel will go up to Rs 94.57 per liter in Delhi today.
Oil companies started raising auto fuel prices last week.
Meanwhile, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Saturday that the consumption of petrol and diesel has increased compared to pre-COVID times, and the government is working towards price stability.
Commenting on the continued rise in prices of petroleum products, the minister said, “Today, the consumption of petrol and diesel is 10-15 per cent and 6-10 per cent higher respectively as compared to pre-covid times. I will not go into price issues. In. We continue to work towards price stability.” (ANI)
