Rain warning in these states; clouds over Delhi-NCR


Weather Update: In many states of the country it rains heavily due to monsoon. Heavy rains are expected in Jharkhand and West Bengal for the next 3 days. There is also a rain alert in Odisha till August 13.

Apart from this, heavy rains have also been predicted at some places in states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Delhi and adjoining areas will also remain partly cloudy on Thursday. The wind will blow at a speed of 25 to 35 km/h. Rain or very light showers are expected. The maximum and minimum temperature can be 35 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively.

On Thursday also, the weather conditions are expected to remain good in many parts of Punjab. It will be cloudy in most areas and light rain is also expected at some places.

There is a heavy rain warning in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, except Lahaul Spiti district, there will be heavy rain with thunderstorms in the remaining 11 districts. People have been advised to stay away from rivers and streams.

Red alert for heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of good rains in Madhya Pradesh for 2-3 days. On the other hand, many districts of eastern Madhya Pradesh may receive more rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for the districts of Bhopal and Jabalpur divisions.

There is a possibility of thunder and lightning over Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Rewa, Chambal and Gwalior divisions. Incessant rains continue in the capital Bhopal as well. According to the Department of Meteorology, the rain will continue like this for a whole week.
