Heavy snowfall is expected from Kashmir to Himachal and Uttarakhand on November 5-6 due to Western Disturbance.
As a result, numerous areas of the nation, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Odisha, would experience a drop in temperature on November 8-9.
Meanwhile, rain is lashing Tamil Nadu and neighboring states as a result of the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal. Several areas including Chennai will experience heavy rain today, according to a weather department advisory.
Northeast Monsoon
The Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring rain to various parts of the nation including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Karaikal, according to the Meteorological Department. Also, rain is expected in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland today.
Weather today is expected to be moderate over coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, south interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema, according to the private forecasting firm Skymet Weather.
On the other hand, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand could receive snowfall in addition to rain. Although the very poor to severe category may still apply to Delhi and NCR air quality index.
