New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Thursday informed that 620 cases of Omicron have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. Most fresh infections were reported from Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan.
So far, 5,488 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country, of which 3,326 are active, while 2,162 have been cured or migrated.
Rajasthan has reported the maximum number of new cases of Omicron in the last 24 hours. The state has added 147 new cases, after which the number of new COVID-19 variant has increased to 792. Out of the total cases, 282 are active and are undergoing treatment.
Telangana also reported 137 new cases of omicrons in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 260. The state now has 213 active cases of the new COVID strain.

Kerala has added 136 cases of omicron in the last 24 hours. With the new cases, the state’s tally has risen to 486, of which 346 are active cases.
86 new cases of omicron have been reported in Maharashtra. With this, the number of new COVID strains in the state has increased to 1,367, out of which 633 cases are active.
Odisha saw 67 new cases of omicrons in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases reported in the state to 169 so far. Odisha currently has 161 active cases of Omicron.
Meghalaya saw 26 new cases of omicrons yesterday, after which the number has increased from just five to 31. The state now has 15 active cases of the new COVID-19 variant.
10 new cases of omicrons have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the number of infected in the state to 23. Of these, 17 are active cases which are under treatment.

Andhra Pradesh added 7 cases of Omicron in the last 24 hours taking the total number of new COVID-19 variants in the state to 61. There are 52 active cases of the new COVID strain in the state.
Meanwhile, Delhi witnessed three new cases of omicrons in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 549. There are 492 active cases of the new COVID variant in the national capital.
A single case of Omicron has been added in Ladakh. The tally has now increased to 2 and both the patients have recovered from the virus.
