New Delhi: In the ongoing world wrestling championships, India’s Olympic silver medalist Ravi Dahiya has been kicked out of the competition as he lost his bout against Uzbekistan’s Gulomkon Abdullaev on Friday. Naveen Punia, however, has entered the bronze medal match after beating world no. 4 Syrbaz Talgat from Uzbekistan.

Ravi Dahiya loses by technical superiority

Dahiya lost to his opponents by technical superiority (10-0) in a one-sided bout. He lost his chance to fight in the rematch when Abdullaev lost to Albanian fighter Zelimkhan Abakarov. Abdullaev has always been a threat to the Indian player several times in the past.

Commonwealth Games champion Naveen will face Kyrgyzstan’s Ernazar Akmatalieve in their bronze medal match on Friday evening.
