New Delhi: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said on Mondya that she is ready to support the Congress where they are strong. The TMC chief made the comments after the Congress won a landslide victory in the Karnataka assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference at Nabanna State Secretariat, Mamta said, “Where Congress is strong, its party is ready to support”. He said that where a regional political party is strong, BJP cannot fight there. Strong parties in a given area must fight together. I support karnataka congress but it should not fight bengal TMC. Congress should help TMC in Bengal, he added.
Mamata Banerjee said I am neither a magician nor an astrologer. What will happen in the future? I can’t say that, but one thing I can say is that where regional parties are strong, BJP cannot fight. The vote cast in Karnataka is an empowerment against the BJP government.
He said that Congress is strong with 200 seats, so if Congress wants to achieve good results, it has to make sacrifices in certain areas. Like Akhilesh, Yadav should be given priority in UP. Congress should talk to Akhilesh Yadav.
Congress is all set to form the government in Karnataka as it has won 135 seats out of 240 seats.
