Renders leaked for Sony’s Xperia 1 IV

Tokyo: Japanese tech conglomerate Sony’s 2022 flagship Android smartphone is pictured in a leaked render today, showing it in all its boxy, flat-sided glory from all angles.

According to GSM Arena, this phone is apparently expected to be the successor to the Xperia 1 III from 2021, and it is very easily identifiable as part of the Sony stable. The design of the phone is reminiscent of the Xperia 1 III, although this time around its edges look even better.

Sony’s trademarks, which included the camera shutter button at the bottom right, the power button with a fingerprint sensor in the middle, and the volume rocker above it, were all visible.

Up front, there’s a 6.5″ non-curved display with top and bottom bezels. The selfie camera is in that top bezel. The rear camera module is familiar and houses three sensors and an LED flash.

According to GSM Arena, the SIM card tray and USB-C port are on the bottom. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the phone, and there’s no Google Assistant key anywhere to be seen. (ANI)
