Rohit Sharma breaks down in tears, Rahul Dravid consoles


Adelaide: India captain Rohit Sharma is ‘very disappointed’ with 10-wicket defeat against England and ruled out of T20 World Cup 2022. After poor batting and bowling performance, Rohit’s leadership Sharma has lost at the touch stage. The pain was so intense that it left Rohit Sharma in tears.

India coach Rahul Dravid was seen consoling the Indian captain after he couldn’t hold back tears over the harrowing defeat at Adelaide Oval.

After losing the match, Rohit Sharma said that he is very disappointed with the defeat and the main reason is that we could not handle the pressure. “I am very disappointed with what happened today. We batted well in the deep to get this score. Rohit said we were not good with the ball,” he said in the post-match presentation.

India are facing a major 10-wicket defeat

It was disheartening for India when they failed miserably in a bowling attack. None of the Indian players could take any wickets and hence lost the game. India’s opener KL Rahul failed to impress as he was bowled back for just 5 runs in the second over.

Failure of India’s top order

India captain Rohit Sharma stayed on the pitch for a longer period but could not do much in 28 balls. Sharma made 27 runs and then gave way to star batsman Suryakumar Yadav. When the fans put their hopes on the brave, but he also failed to overcome Salt who caught his ball near the boundary. Yadav was out for 14 runs.
