Similar to its little brother, the Super Meteor 650 also has a proper cruiser design. It has a low stance with a fairly long drop and lots of chrome all around. From the pictures, you can see that the bike looks pretty clean and has a round headlight, a split seat, a wide fuel tank and an overall retro design.
engine
Royal Enfield’s new bike is powered by a 648cc parallel twin engine that produces 47bhp and 52.3Nm. It is the same engine as the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
hardware
The engine is housed in a tubular steel frame suspended from USD front forks and twin rear shocks. Yes, the Meteor 650 is the first and only current bike from Royal Enfield to have USD forks. Braking hardware, meanwhile, includes a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc with ABS. It rides on alloy wheels shod with 100/90 front and 150/80 rear tires.
Variants and characteristics
Royal Enfield will offer the Super Meteor 650 in two versions – standard and tourer. Overall, the bike will be available in seven colors: Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, Interestellar Green, Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.
At the front, Royal Enfield has equipped the bike with LED lighting and an optional Tripper navigation pad.
launch
With Rider Mania 2022 coming up in a few days, we expect Royal Enfield to bring the bike to India at the same time. The event takes place from November 18 to 20 in Goa.
