This will be Bhagwat’s first ‘stay’ in the state after the BJP’s defeat against the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC in the West Bengal Assembly elections.
New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will visit West Bengal on November 16 on a two-day visit.
This will be Bhagwat’s first ‘stay’ in the state after the BJP’s defeat against the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC in the West Bengal Assembly elections.
During this, Bhagwat will review the projects being started by the RSS in the state. According to sources, Bhagwat will hold various internal organizational meetings and also hold talks with state pracharaks.
After losing the assembly elections, the saffron outfit has faced severe internal criticism for failing to stand with party workers in the post-poll violence.
Recently, former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, who was one of the popular faces of the party in the state, left the party to join TMC.
The RSS chief concluded his four-day visit to Jammu on 3 October. This was also his first visit to the Union Territory after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
