Russia-Ukraine war: Israel offers to mediate between Ukraine, Russia

Moscow: Today is the fourth day of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Despite all the criticism at the international level, Russia is still not ready to back down from its military campaign against Ukraine.

Russia is continuously bombing Ukrainian military bases and residential areas.

However, both the countries have indicated that they are open to talks in this regard. But so far no concrete steps have been taken in this direction.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has offered his country’s mediation services to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine, the Kremlin press service said on Sunday.

“Naftali Bennett offered Israeli intermediary services to suspend military action,” the Kremlin said in a statement.

Putin briefed Bennett about the developments in the military operation and said Russia was ready for talks with Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is still doing its best to fight the Russian juggernaut, despite being no match for Russia’s military might.

Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Hannah Mallier has informed that Russia has also suffered heavy losses in the last four days.

According to Malier, during this war so far Russia has lost 27 fighter jets, 26 helicopters, 146 tanks, 706-armored vehicles, 49 artillery, 1 anti-aircraft missile, 60 tanks and about 4300 soldiers. Ukraine also claims that two Russian ships have also been destroyed.

However, the government of Ukraine has made it clear that these figures are not exhaustive. There may be some changes. These figures may increase further in the coming times.

Russia launched its military campaign against Ukraine on Thursday, marking the fourth day of the war. Many pictures of devastation have come to the fore in these four days. Thousands of civilians are feared dead during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
