Earlier in a series of tweets, the President of Ukraine said that he will give arms to anyone who wants to defend the country and will lift sanctions on all citizens of Ukraine who are ready to defend the country.
“We will give weapons to anyone who wants to defend the country. Be ready to support Ukraine in the squares of our cities,” Zelensky tweeted.
“We will lift sanctions on all citizens of Ukraine who are ready to defend our country with weapons in hand as part of regional defense,” Zelensky said.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday announced his decision to sever his country’s diplomatic ties with Moscow, shortly after Russia launched its military operations in the Donbass region.
Zelensky said, “We have severed diplomatic relations with Russia. For all those who have not yet lost their conscience in Russia, it is time to oppose the war with Ukraine.”
He said Russia had launched a treacherous attack on Ukraine in the morning and compared the act to Nazi Germany.
“Russia launched a treacherous attack on our state in the morning, as Nazi Germany did in the #2WW years. To this day, our countries are on different sides of world history. Russia has walked the path of evil, but Ukraine defends itself. is doing and won’t give up its freedom no matter what Moscow thinks,” Zelensky said.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kuleba, called on his allies to have serious diplomatic ties with Russia.
Kuleba tweeted: “Ukraine breaks diplomatic ties with Russia. I call on all our partners to do the same. With this concrete move you will demonstrate that you stand with Ukraine and after World War II.” categorically reject the most obvious act of aggression in Europe.” (ANI)
