SA vs Ind, 3rd Test: Bumrah shines with five wickets, IND take 13-run lead


Cape Town: Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets as India bundled out South Africa for 210 in the first innings on the second day of the third Test at Newlands in Cape Town on Wednesday.

With South Africa bundled out for 210, India took a slim 13-run lead, and now Virat Kohli will be hoping his batsmen will put up a more stellar performance with the bat. Resuming the third and final session on 176/7 on the second day, Keegan Pietersen and Kagiso Rabada put on a total of three runs before Pietersen (72) was sent back to the pavilion by Bumrah.

Kagiso Rabada and Duane Olivier added 21 more runs but Shardul Thakur cut the partnership down as he dismissed Rabada (15) to bowl South Africa to 200/9. In the end, the Proteas were reduced to 210 runs.

On the first day of the Test, India were bowled out for 223, with skipper Virat Kohli scoring a scintillating 79. Kagiso Rabada took four wickets for the Proteas.
