Sachin Tendulkar hit a lap in the World Road Safety Championship


New Delhi: Rain spoilsport played the India Legends vs New Zealand Legends match at the Road Safety World Series on Monday, but Sachin Tendulkar made sure to entertain the crowd with his limited-time hits.

India Legends captain Sachin Tendulkar scored 19 of his 13 goals against New Zealand Legends before rain halted the match.

Rain plays spoiler sport in the World Road Safety Championship

There was only a 5.5 increment possible at the Holkar Cricket Ground in Indore before rain forced the match to end without a score. His game featured four rounds, one of which came from a great shot that went viral on social media.

Former New Zealand soccer player Kyle Mills tossed the ball around the good length zone, but Tendulkar played a superb lap shot for four goals toward the confines of deep precise legs.

India’s legends shine with 49/1

In the match, India Legends managed to score 49/1. Tendulkar and Suresh Raina (9 not out) were hitting in the creases when rain halted the match.

Earlier, Naman Oja was sent to the wing by Shane Bond in fourth place. The right hitter left after scoring 18 times from 15 balls.

India Legends is currently 3rd in the points table with 4 points from 3 matches. The Indians won their opening game before the next two games were canceled due to rain. Sri Lanka Legends leads the table with 6 points while West Indies Legends is second with 5 points.
