According to early box office estimates, the Pushkar-Gayatri direction, which is an official adaptation of its own blockbuster Tamil film of the same name starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, raked in Rs 5.5 crore on its debut Monday, according to a report Bollywood Hungama. This brings the film’s total earnings to approximately Rs 42.5 crore, up from Rs 36.94 crore at the opening weekend.
According to the report, Vikram Vedha’s collections fell by 48% on Monday October 3rd. This decline could be attributed to the fact that the Hindi-dubbed version of the original 2017 film was streamed online and aired several times on national television since the remake’s international theatrical debut on September 30.
In addition to the two male stars, Radhika Apte, Sharib Hashmi, Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani and Satyadeep Mishra play key roles in the recently released film. Unlike the original, which is set in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the Hindi film is set in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
