The Emmy-winning sitcom’s Instagram account revealed Thursday that a new version of Monopoly, the timeless Hasbro board game, will be released branded with the show’s characters. The gallery of pictures in the post accompanied an image of Schitt’s Creek matriarch Moira Rose, played by Emmy Award winner Katherine O’Hara, uttering the phrase “they’ll have a virtual monopoly on this city.”

Other images showed the new edition’s board and colored game money, featuring unique game pieces including Moira’s round sunglasses and a Rosebud Motel room key. “Introduction, Monopoly: Shit’s Creek Edition,” the caption read.

The new ‘Shit’s Creek’ version of Monopoly sells for US$39.99, according to People magazine, game supplier theop.games.

“Join the Rose family on the opportunistic adventures of buying, selling and trading popular venues from the show, including Rosebud Motel, Bob’s Garage, Herb Ertlinger Winery and more,” the description read.

Monopoly, which first came out in 1935, has had several special editions, from “Star Wars” and “Pokémon” versions to those honoring “Game of Thrones” and “Rick and Morty.”

Produced by series stars Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, “Shits Creek” ran over the course of six seasons, from 2015 to 2020. It won nine Emmy Awards for its final season.
