Jammu and Kashmir: Due to bad weather, the Jammu and Kashmir administration ordered the closure of primary and secondary schools in Ramban and Kishtwar districts on Monday (November 7), officials said. The cold weather has been caused by snowfall in the higher elevations and heavy showers in the lower regions.

They added that children are advised to stay inside due to the heavy rains, adding that all primary and secondary schools in the Ramban area will remain closed.

In the same vein, the district administration of Kishtwar district has ordered all primary and secondary schools to remain closed due to inclement weather. However, they stressed, all high schools and secondary institutions in the district will function as normal.
