Schools to remain shut for another 2 days: Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner

Shivamogga: All schools in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district will remain closed till Friday as Section 144 has been extended for two more days.

Shivamogga district deputy commissioner Selvamani R said, “Section 144 has been extended for two more days, till Friday morning. Schools will remain closed for another 2 days. Further action will be decided based on the situation.”

As tensions broke out in the district over the death of a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal worker, the authorities suspended all classes. Harsha (activist) was stabbed to death at around 9.30 pm on Sunday night in Shivamogga, Karnataka, police said.

The state home minister said, “We have arrested three people. According to my knowledge, five people are involved in this murder.”

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary CT Ravi on Monday termed the death of a Bajrang Dal worker in Shivamogga as a “conspiracy” and said the probe could be handed over to the National Investigation Team, if necessary. Is. NIA).
