On October 31, the NCP chief was admitted to Prachkandy Hospital in Mumbai due to his poor health. According to officials, he is likely to be discharged by November 2, but doctors have suggested he rest for at least 3-4 weeks.
Congress Secretary General Jairam Ramesh said: “NCP Chairman Sharad Pawar is in hospital, Rahul Gandhi and I have spoken with him. Doctor recommended rest for 3-4 weeks. Hence, Sharad Pawar will not join Bharat Gudu Yatra tomorrow. Aditya Thackeray. He’ll join tomorrow.”
The NCP chief was due to join the rally tomorrow (11 November) along with Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray.
Meanwhile, prominent NCP faces including Jayant Patel, Supriya Sule and Jitendra Ohad will join the rally today.
Today, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has resumed “The Bharat Gudu Yatra is from Loha Town in Nanded District. Gandhi will stop briefly at some places during the march to interact with the people.
