The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex opened 307 points higher at 57607, while the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) Nifty index opened 95 points higher at 17187.
With the opening of the market today, about 1388 shares rose, while 554 shares declined, while there was no change in the price of 60 shares. While 148 stocks have upper circuit and 212 stocks have lower circuit since this morning. Shares of L&T, ONGC and HUL are seen trading with a fall in the market today.
Today the Asian markets are also seeing a slight uptrend. Shanghai Composite, Taiwan, Kospi is booming. Although Japan’s Nikkei is trading flat and the Straits Times has seen a red mark of decline. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is also showing good growth.
Earlier in the day, the stock market opened with a fall on Tuesday and finally closed on the red mark. Sensex closed 383 points lower at 75,300 and Nifty down 114 points at 17,092.
On Tuesday, the US market closed with a sharp decline. On Tuesday, the Dow Jones closed down 483 points at 33,596.61.
