Share Market Today: Stock market starts new financial year on weak note


Share Market Today: The new financial year 2022-23 has started today. The new financial year has started with a decline in the stock market. The Sensex and the Nifty are trading in the red mark with a slight decline.

Due to weakness in Asian markets, the Sensex declined by 37 points to 58830 and the Nifty rose by 27 points to start trading at 17436 points.

In today’s trading, out of 30 stocks of listed in the BSE Sensex, 15 shares are trading in the green mark and 15 shares are trading in the red mark. In the NSE Nifty, 26 out of 50 stocks are trading in the green mark and there are 24 stocks within the red mark.

Today, trading started in a total of 1,417 companies in the BSE, out of which about 856 shares opened up and 452 opened with a fall. At the same time, the share price of 109 companies opened without increasing or decreasing. Apart from this, today 26 shares are trading at 52 week high and 2 shares are trading at 52 week low. On the other hand, 86 shares have upper circuit since morning and 54 shares have lower circuit.

Hero MotoCorp, SBI Life Insurance, Infosys, Eicher Motors and HDFC were among the major losers on the Nifty, while NTPC, Power Grid Corp, Bharti Airtel, ONGC and BPCL opened in gains.

On Thursday, the stock market started with an increase on the last trading day, but after the day’s volatile trading, both the indexes finally closed on the red mark. The Sensex closed at 58,568, down 115 points and the Nifty slipped 33 points to close at 17,465.
