New Delhi: Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami will soon bid farewell to international cricket. Although she is yet to announce it, the women’s third ODI against England at Lord’s will be her last. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly heaped praise on the West Bengal-born pacer ahead of his last match in international cricket.
“If my daughter were to play cricket, I would want her to play like Goswami,” Ganguly
He said that if his daughter played cricket, he would ask her to be like Jhulan. Speaking at the event on Thursday, Sourav said, “Jhulan has had an amazing career. Played brilliant cricket for so many years. If my daughter played cricket, I would say she is like Jhulan Goswami. But that was not the case.”
“Jhulan retiring to an area like Lord’s will no doubt be a great thing. The government has plans to honor him. I’m not saying what to do now.

“I have a very good relationship with Jhulan. After becoming the chairman of the board, I met and discussed with him many times about the development of the women’s cricket team,” he added.
Harmanpreet played well in both the matches against England. I saw them playing. We won with power,” Ganguly said while praising Goswami in the recently concluded match against England.
