For those not starting out, CoComelon is a content powerhouse for YouTube kids. A Variety report states that the latest “Cocomelan Story Time” podcast, Cocomelan’s first spoken-word original programming, will premiere exclusively on Spotify on January 24.
The podcast will include 42 beloved storybook classics, available globally in four languages: English (American and British vocabulary), Spanish, German and Brazilian Portuguese.
Only those using the Spotify Premium family plan will be able to access ‘CoComelon Story Time’, as well as three new Spotify-produced children’s originals: ‘Gardenkeeper Gus’, ‘100 Cinderellas’ and ‘Deep Blue Sea’ ‘.
The new kids’ audio content will be available exclusively to Spotify Premium Family subscribers on the main Spotify app in the Family and Kids Hub, as well as on the Spotify Kids app.
‘Gardenkeeper Gus’, launching January 31st, is aimed at families with preschool-age children. It follows the “delicately narrated” adventures of 6-year-old Gus and his squirrel best friend, Riley, as they explore and understand the endless and larger-than-life garden behind their family home.
‘100 Cinderella’, releasing on February 14, is an anthology series of Cinderella bedtime stories from around the world. “Deep Blue Sea,” launching February 28, includes episodes where showrunners will visit Sea Lab Alpha, an underwater marine laboratory that has an impeccable view of marine life.
This is the first major content deal for CoComelon since its parent company, Moonbug Entertainment, was last acquired by Candle Media in a $3 billion deal.
