Sunil Pal furious for asking fans for selfies at Raju Srivastava’s funeral


New Delhi: Raju Srivastava breathed his last on 21 September at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. The well-known politician-comedian was admitted after falling on the treadmill at the gym on August 10. The comedian’s last rites were performed today at Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat. Sunil Pal and Ehsan Qureshi, two of his friends and fellow comedians, reached the crematorium to pay tribute to Raju Srivastava. Apart from them, prominent personalities from the political and literary world are also present for the burial.

Sunil Pal reached Delhi to attend Sunil Pal’s funeral. Thousands of fans thronged to pay their last respects to the deceased comedian. When Sunil Pal was arriving to attend the funeral, he was approached by a fan, who requested for a photo. This, for obvious reasons, did not go down well with Sunil, who asked the fans to look around and consider the place. Sunil Pal’s fan was requested to go so that friends and relatives can mourn in peace by one of the people accompanying him. A huge crowd has gathered to witness the last rites of Raju Srivastava and take a last look at the comic before his last rites.

Raju Srivastava’s brother-in-law, describing Raju Srivastava’s last moments, said that his blood pressure dropped and then CPR was given. He answered it at first, but then he left. He further added, “In two to three days, the intention was to withdraw the ventilators. Additionally, the dosage of the drug has been cut.”

Earlier, in an interview with News18, Sunil Pal recalled working with Srivastava and said, “We did a lot of stage shows together, participated in reality shows and even did films together . He always made sure that people had a smile on their faces. He had a wonderful sense of humor and often entertained everyone. I still remember the days when we did The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He was, is and will be the king of stand up comedy.”
