While sharing the poster of the film on social media, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol wrote a caption that read, “Hindustan Zindabaad Hai….Zindabaad Tha.. .aur Zindabaad Rahega! What did Sunny Deol say about the film?
Anil Sharma, the film’s producer and director, said the project meant more to him than just a film. He said, “Gadar – Ek Prem Katha is not my film but the people’s film and it has dynamically changed the paradigm of the Indian film industry. It became a cult icon where people breathed in the love story of Tara Singh and Sakina. We are very pleased to launch the first poster!”
Adding, Sunny Deol stated, “’Gadar – Ek Prem Katha’ is a highlight of my life, both personally and professionally. Hailing from Gadar, Tara Singh has become not only a leading man but also a cult icon who has defied all odds and crossed all limits for the sake of his family and love. After 22 years, working with the team was a creatively enriching experience.”
The film directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zee Studios also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma.
