For the inexperienced, Gauri Sawant is a transgender activist who started the Sakhi Char Chogi Fund in 2000, an NGO that advises transgender people and advocates for safer sex. The six-part documentary will chronicle Sawant’s life, including the difficulties and hurdles she faced as India’s first transgender mother. It will also emphasize the emotional relationship between mother and daughter.
Sushmita, who has a busy schedule, is expected to complete the series by November, after which she will start shooting for the third season of Aarya directed by Ram Madhvani. She is also planning to prepare an autobiography to mark her return to the big screen. “We are really happy to have Sushmita Sen on board for our future project, which is an autobiography,” film producer Deepak Mukot told Indian Express. “She has always been a force to be reckoned with when it comes to her acting abilities, and she is the perfect choice for the heroine of this bio. We are sure it will be an enjoyable experience for all of us.”
