With delivery starting soon, the cars are an addition to the 3,500 XPRES-T EV order, signed by both companies in October last year, and will be used nationwide for passengers, thus helping to reduce carbon emissions.
“Tata Motors is taking drastic steps to install electricity as soon as possible, and it’s exciting to see famous shipbuilders joining the green wave to travel with us,” noted Tata Motors Commercial Director Shailesh Chandra.
The company is excited to continue its partnership with BluSmart Electric Mobility as 10,000 XPRES-T EV (electric vehicles) will be distributed across the country, he added.
“With our USD 50 million fundraiser in Series A, we are being charged exorbitant growth rates across Delhi NCR and major cities. We thank Tata Motors for charging our trip to accelerate growth,” BluSmart Electric Mobility Co . – Founder Anmol Singh Jaggi said.
The company has covered 50 million clean miles and delivered more than 1.6 million rides with zero-emission with high customer experience in its area, he added.
“We are building a massive integrated EV mobility ecosystem in India – from the world’s largest fully-fledged electric service to the largest EV super hubs network,” Jaggi said.
In July 2021, Tata Motors introduced the XPRES model, which is exclusively for shipping customers and the XPRES-T EV is the first car under this category. The XPSRES-T electric sedan comes with two distance options – 213 km and 165 km (ARAI certified distance under test conditions).
It packs a battery with a power of 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh and can be charged from 0- 80 percent for 90 minutes and 110 minutes, respectively, using fast charging or can be charged normally at any 15 point plug point.
It comes with zero tail-pipe emission, single speed automatic transmission, dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard in all models.
